Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver: The Denver Broncos Boys & Girls Club has been serving youth ages 5-18 in the Montbello community since 2003, supporting more than 14,500 youth since its inception. Funding to provide operational funding and provide unique opportunities in each of the Club’s programming areas, additional skills development and training, volunteer projects, field trips and incentives to meet individual and club goals.

City Year Denver: City Year Denver believes that a child’s potential is limitless, but recognizes that funding constraints, generational poverty, and systemic racism all contribute to the equity gaps present in our public schools. Funding to support programming at Compass Academy and support AmeriCorps members throughout their year of service.

Colorado Uplift: Colorado UpLift’s mission is to build long-term, life-changing relationships with urban youth, equipping them to thrive and contribute to their community. Funding to expand year-round after-school programming at Lake Middle School.

Heart of America Foundation: The Heart of America Foundation transforms learning spaces, closes the resource gap, and strengthens communities to give all students space to dream, discover, and thrive. Funding to increase youth literacy through library renovation at Ashley Elementary School.

KABOOM!: KABOOM! is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to ending playground inequity, defined as the lack of access and sense of belonging to quality playgrounds, due to the effects of systemic racism in communities across the country. Funding to underwrite a 2,500-square-foot playground for youth ages 5-11 at Montview Elementary School (Aurora Public Schools), which includes adaptive equipment for children of all abilities.

Make a chess move: Make a Chess Move disrupts the school-to-prison pipeline by developing tenacious learners, compassionate leaders, and ethnically motivated critical thinkers through the game of chess. Funding to expand and support the Make a Compassion Move program focused on youth who are suspended or on probation.

Marvin W. Foote Youth Service Center: The Marvin W. Foote Youth Services Center is a secure, state-run facility that provides detention services, education and rehabilitation programs for youth involved in the juvenile justice system. Funding to support renovation of the facility’s outdoor recreation yard.

Out Teach: Out Teach is a nonprofit organization that equips teachers with the tools and training to transform outdoor spaces into engaging and hands-on learning environments for students, encouraging academic achievement and a connection to nature. Funding to support the first outdoor learning lab on a Colorado Title I school campus and increase engagement through a hands-on, outdoor science education lab and program for elementary students.

Playworks Colorado: Playworks’ mission is to improve the health and well-being of children by increasing opportunities for physical activity and safe and meaningful play. Funding to provide Playworks programs in Aurora Public Schools elementary schools to help build healthy and inclusive school communities.

Reading Partners CO: Reading Partners is a national nonprofit that mobilizes communities to provide students with the individualized and proven reading support they need to read on grade level by fourth grade. Funding to support one additional Title I school (Ashley Elementary School) to receive individualized intervention services for high-needs students who have fallen behind grade level reading for three consecutive school years.

GROWTH: RISE is a national nonprofit that educates and empowers the sports community to eliminate racial discrimination, promote social justice, and improve race relations. Funding to support RISE’s 8-week leadership program for Denver-area youth.

Scholastic book fairs: Scholastic is the world’s largest publisher and distributor of children’s books, connecting educators and families through accessibility, engagement and expertise. Funding to host book fairs and provide access to books and increased literacy for students in schools that have never hosted a Scholastic Book Fair.

Sports Science: Sports Science develops interdisciplinary STEM curriculum and programming that is inclusive for all learners and relevant through hands-on, mental learning to promote educational and social-emotional skills and learning. Funding for the development and implementation of the Denver Broncos Custom STEM Program.

The Sims-Fayola Foundation: The Sims-Fayola Foundation works to improve the outcomes and life experiences of black youth and boys. Funding to support and expand the youth justice-involved habilitation diversion program.

Sun Valley Youth Center: The Sun Valley Youth Center empowers youth ages 5 to 21 living in the Sun Valley neighborhood to reach their potential. Funding to support after-school and summer programming focused on academic interventions and hands-on learning experiences.

Urban Farm: The urban farm offers urban youth the opportunity to engage and participate in local food and agricultural systems by removing barriers to entry. Funding to support Cultivating Change diversion programming and career pathways for justice-involved youth.

Vera Institute of Justice: The Vera Institute of Justice is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the justice system by promoting equity, reducing incarceration, and improving access to justice for marginalized communities. Funding to support its Restoring Promise initiative, which seeks to transform prison cultures, climates and spaces by partnering with correctional leaders to reimagine housing for young adults ages 18-25 and realign policies and practices correction with the commitment to hum
