GHMC, NIT-Warangal to set up Technology Center for Town Planning

Hyderabad: GHMC in collaboration with National Institute of Technology (NIT)-Warangal is proposing to set up a technology center to address urban challenges like traffic congestion and drainage management. The aim is to develop and deliver modern, practical and sustainable solutions, incorporating them into the planning stage.

The Center’s Traffic and Transportation Division will conduct in-depth analyzes of the city’s traffic patterns and transportation systems. The Drainage Information Center will undertake a comprehensive survey of the drainage network of Hyderabad.

During a meeting on Saturday, GHMC Commissioner K. Ilambarithi emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between GHMC and NIT-Warangal. Prof. CSRK Prasad of NIT Warangal suggested a structured agreement to ensure sustained operations.
