Fortnite Chapter 6 gets game-changing parkour movement skills

Fortnite Chapter 6 comes with a whole suite of parkour skills, from wall running and jumping to the ability to scale giant walls.

At this point, it’s tradition for Fortnite to make some huge gameplay updates at the start of each new chapter and Chapter 6 is no different.

However, the movement changes we’re getting for Fortnite’s next big update are a huge step up from how the game used to be. Fortnite will have movement mechanics ripped straight from CoD’s jetpack glory days.

Fortnite Gets Ninja-like Parkour Move In Chapter 6

With Fortnite embracing the immense popularity of Zero Build, it now offers players more ways to get around that aren’t tied to farming resources. Traversing vertical areas of the map has long been one of the most irritating parts of no-build, but now players have a lot more options.

And while running and wall jumping is a bit more obvious in the trailer, there are two more features early on that are just as impactful: boosted jumps and ground rolling.

Players can now roll on the ground to mitigate damage and jump higher in the air than before, allowing you to easily reach the top of tall buildings and take down your opponent.

This goes right along with the Ninja-esque theme Japanese inspired Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1. It will be released on December 1 along with Godzilla and Kong.

Other Battle Royale titles like Apex Legends and Warzone have a lot of movement, Apex has a deep suite of tech available to players who want to learn things like super gliding, and CoD has Omnimovement with Integrating BO6 into Warzone.

Now, Fortnite is joining their ranks with a parkour of its own as it continues to evolve beyond relying on the building mechanics that defined the game when it launched.
