Rajasthan Sub Inspector Exam 2021 Cancellation Pending SHO Posts Left

Rajasthan Sub Inspector Exam 2021 Cancellation Pending SHO Posts Left

Rajasthan Sub Inspector Exam 2021 may be canceled due to alleged incidents of paper leakage as Rajasthan Police Headquarters has advised the same. A formal proposal has been sent to the state government through the Home Ministry headed by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma.

However, the decision was delayed as the state cabinet meeting scheduled for today was postponed.

The RPSC 2021 sub-inspector exam has faced allegations of malpractice, leading to widespread protests by candidates demanding its cancellation.

The petitioners approached the Rajasthan High Court, which issued a stay on the posting of 850 SHOs who had completed the training. Until further decisions are made, these candidates remain in limbo.

The High Court’s intervention comes amid reports that 50 candidates who cleared the exam have been arrested for their involvement in the paper leak. Although 26 of them have been released on bail, the court stay ensures that the postings will not continue until the matter is resolved.

PROPOSAL TO RECONDUCT THE EXAMINATION

Rajasthan Police’s proposal suggests canceling the controversial exam and retaking it for eligible candidates. The matter was expected to win approval during today’s cabinet meeting, but the postponement means further delays.

Minister Kirori Lal Meena, who supported the protesting candidates, confirmed that he had been distributed a copy of the proposal. He has spoken about the need for transparency in the recruitment process since the issue came to light.

The decision to cancel and re-conduct the exam rests solely with the state cabinet as the Rajasthan Public Service Commission cannot take any action in this case. The delay has left both the protesting candidates and appointed SHOs awaiting clarity on their future.
