Laredo Ghostbusters investigate haunted activity at KGNS’ new location

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) – Paranormal activity is back in the spotlight at KGNS as Torres Paranormal Investigations is back to look for any signs of a ghostly presence in the station’s new home on Bob Bullock Loop. The group, known for its work in discovering unexplained things, previously visited the former KGNS building on Del Mar Boulevard, where they reported several ghostly encounters.

In the first part of a three-part series, Angel Torres, founder of Torres Paranormal Investigations (TPI), led the team in searching the new KGNS building with specialized equipment, including SLS (Structured Light Sensor) cameras used to detect the figures that investigators i believe them they could be spirits. “We got our TPI team here, we have all our equipment here,” explained Torres. “We’ll start with our SLS cameras so we can see the figures. We will also be able to talk to the figurines. We’ll walk around the whole facility and see how many we can catch this time.”

As the team began their investigation, Investigator Ruiz quickly took unusual readings. “On this pole, there was someone hanging from the top,” Ruiz reported, pointing to evidence of possible paranormal activity. “There is an entity there. Look, you’re there and it’s still there,” he said, describing strange figures appearing on the SLS camera screen.

The team reported seeing several ghostly figures. “I caught a lot of figurines as soon as I walked out of this room,” Ruiz said. “There was one on the floor, some kind of dance. I caught two more people or entities that were in each room.”

Other devices have taken on additional phenomena. “There’s a lot of activity here, figures, shadow people, a lot of voices — a lot of entities all over the place,” Torres said.

The team also used infrared sensors to detect cold spots, which are believed to be a telltale sign of spirits. “We also found a shadow person that we captured and have in our infrared camera. Everything you see in yellow is body heat, but the individual in between — dark blue — means something is cold. Spirits are cold. That’s how we detect who they are,” explained Torres.

As the investigation continued, Ruiz noticed a pattern. “Now, I don’t know if they were moving around the building, but they’re spreading all over this place,” he said, as several figures appeared to be walking around on the monitors. “Wow, it’s getting crazy. Right here it’s like an infrared. You can see the shadows dancing – here’s another one behind.”

According to Torres, the new building showed even more activity than the old one. “Well, the other building we went to was haunted. I had a lot of communication with spirits,” he said. “Yes, it’s more haunted here, but it’s three to four times bigger, but it’s really haunted. We have plenty of evidence that KGNS here is haunted.”

Torres Paranormal Investigations has conducted over 100 investigations in the Laredo area over nearly a decade. While the team shares the findings of their ghost hunt, they keep the investigation sites confidential at the request of property owners.
