Man accused of attacking ex after breaking into her home

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – A Brookland man is behind bars after police say he attacked his ex-girlfriend after barging into her home.

Craighead County District Court Judge Tommy Fowler found probable cause on Wednesday, Nov. 20, to charge Marlon Lemont Tramble, 35, with 3rd degree aggravated burglary, 3rd degree battery and assault 2nd degree on a family or household. member.

According to the affidavit, on Sunday, Nov. 17, officers responded to a home in the 500 block of West Thomas Avenue for a residential burglary.

Police learned that while a woman was in bed inside, Tramble entered the home without her permission.

The victim, later discovered to be Tramble’s ex-girlfriend, told police that he does not live at the home and has never lived there and has no property there.

Upon entry, Tramble entered the bedroom and attacked the victim and a man who was also in the room, the affidavit said.

Officers later found the man had “scratches and bruises on his neck from the attack,” and the victim said, “Tramble hit her in the head and choked her.”

Upon arrival, officers saw Tramble fighting with a group of people.

As they tried to break up the fight, Tramble left the home, but police soon arrested him.

Tramble is being held at the Craighead County Detention Center on a $250,000 bond.

If released, Judge Fowler ordered Tramble to wear an ankle monitor and have no contact with the victim.

Tramble’s arraignment date is scheduled for Friday, January 24.
