GEM Partnership appoints Director of Training

North-East training and recruitment specialist The GEM partnership has appointed Kelly Lee as Director of Training to enhance its training offering.

Kelly joined the Peterlee-based company in 2017 as Training Operations Manager and brings over 25 years of education, training and senior management experience to her new role.

She said: “I am delighted to take on the role of Director of Training, strengthening GEM Partnership’s commitment to providing the best training services to our clients.

“I will work with the team to drive our strategic priorities and drive operational excellence as we look to further develop and grow the training arm of the business.

“Since joining the business in 2017, specifically to set up and manage GEM’s training division, I have been instrumental in some significant successes, including winning direct adult skills contracts, helping us achieve a ‘Good’ rating from Ofsted inspectors and our recent listing in Ward Hadaway’s Fastest 50 for the North East.”

“My challenge as a director is to take the business to the next level, to continue to provide the excellent level of service we are known for, but in an even better way.

“One of the ways to do this will be to develop transformational partnerships that will help us grow our footprint and training offering.

“It’s an exciting time for the business and I’m excited to lead us into the next stage of our development.”

GEM’s 40-strong team, including 12 dedicated training specialists, offers customized development programs in sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, IT and logistics.

Founded in 2009 through a management takeover, GEM Partnership recently celebrated 15 years of business, continuing its commitment to providing leading training and recruitment services in the region.
