Two young people transported on bicycles killed in an accident

Three bike-borne youths attacked a youth with a sharp weapon over a petty overtaking issue in MP Nagar area no. 1, Thursday evening.

According to the first information, the attack took place after a dispute over overtaking. However, the police are also investigating the old rivalry angle. A case has been registered against an unknown accused.

According to MP Nagar police, 32-year-old Aamir Ahmed lives in Jahangirabad area near the old jail. He works in a factory in the Govindpura industrial area. Thursday evening around seven he was returning home from the factory in an Activa, as usual.

While returning home, Aamir was overtaken at high speed by three youths on bicycles near the Textbook Corporation office. Aamir also overtook him, after which the accused stopped his vehicle and started abusing him. Meanwhile, the fight escalated and a youth riding a bike attacked Aamir’s neck with a knife. Despite trying to escape, Aamir sustained injuries on his cheek.
