Gadsden Ministry opens its doors to keep people warm

GADSDEN, Ala. (WBRC) – A Gadsden ministry has opened its doors to people in need of shelter and food as the weather cools. They also need your help with donations.

Patrick Washington, founder of Dynamic Outreach, says serving others comes naturally to him. He says that all a person needs is someone to show that they care.

Washington says Dynamic Outreach is a source of comfort. With the temperatures dropping and people needing a warm place to stay, he says it has become an opportunity for him to serve and serve at the same time.

Going above and beyond with the help of his wife, he says he took a leap of faith and decided to leave his comfort zone and help those who need it most. Having been through some tough times in his life, Washington says he understands how a person might need a little help to get back on their feet.

“My mother, my father taught me to always give back and it is important, especially in our Christian walk, to give back to others who are in need. Many of them have a good story, they are ordinary people like me. They just need a helping hand to get up,” Patrick said.

Patrick Washington says the heating station is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. until the summer of 2025. Then it will be converted to a cooling station for the hot summer months. If you would like to donate please get in touch Dynamic Outreach Ministries.
