Man arrested, accused in fatal stabbing of his sister and niece in West Houston

WEST HOUSTON – A man has been arrested and charged in the fatal stabbing of a woman and her child.

Houston Police Department say the suspect, 29-year-old Kendrick Rayvon Fisher, is charged with capital murder. According to investigators, Fisher is the brother and uncle of the victims.

WHAT HAPPENED

Early Friday morning, investigators say officers were alerted by a family member who told police a woman and her daughter were being held hostage at an apartment complex in the 12000 block of Richmond Avenue and Westminster Plaza Drive in Westchase. The family member also told officers that Fisher was also in the apartment.

When police arrived at the apartment, investigators say they found Fisher asleep on the couch and the woman and child dead inside. According to the police, the 28-year-old woman and the 2-year-old child suffered multiple stab wounds.

Officers noticed there was blood at the scene and on Fisher’s clothing. Fisher was detained and questioned by homicide investigators, where they later arrested and charged him capital murder.

Fisher is currently in custody at Harris County Jailheld on $200,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, December 3.
