Former DB gives MVP ultimatum to Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson and Baltimore Ravens they’re gearing up for a tough Week 13 matchup against him Philadelphia Eagles tomorrow. The game is a home event for the Ravens, which helps, but they will have to be at their best to beat the Red Eagles.

With that in mind, a lot of pressure will fall on Jackson’s shoulders this week.

Through the first 12 weeks of the 2024 NFL season, Jackson once again looked the part of an MVP. He is looking to win his second straight MVP award and has played well enough to earn the honor.

Now, he’s getting an MVP ultimatum from a former NFL defensive back and current analyst.

Ryan Clark issued a bold statement directed by Jackson during a recent ESPN segment First take.

“This is Lamar Jackson’s MVP game…Go out and prove you’re the best player in the league.”

Looking at the numbers, one could argue that Jackson has already proven this with his play all year. He has posted insanely good numbers through the first 12 weeks of the year.

Through 12 games, Jackson has completed 67.3 percent of his pass attempts for 3,053 yards, 27 touchdowns and just three interceptions. He also racked up 599 yards and three more touchdowns on the ground.

Those numbers look like MVP. He has led his team to a current record of 8-4 and Baltimore again showing the side of a serious contender in the AFC.

Of course, another big game on a stage like this week’s game against Philadelphia would help his MVP case. An MVP must remain consistent every week.

However, to make it seem like he hasn’t already proven he’s the best player in football is missing what he’s already done this year.

All that being said, the ravens they need a big game from their superstar. Jackson will have to help the power Baltimore in addition to the Eagles. It won’t be an easy game.

If he comes in and dominates this week, he should be at the top of every MVP ranking out there. He has earned that status so far this season.
