Three Tamil women arrested, charged in case of assault against a businessman | Trichy News

3 men detained, a Tamil SL woman, arrested for assault on bizman

Trichy: The Trichy district police on Friday arrested three persons for allegedly assaulting and intimidating a garment shop owner at the behest of a Tamil woman from Sri Lankaat Pettavaithlai.
Pettavaithalai police arrested S Sudhakaran, 42, an NTK member from Chennai, his associates S Tisenthan, 26, from Kanchipuram and G Rajesh Kumar, 28, from Chennai and booked the woman Janani, 26, based on a complaint by 28-year-old Senthilkumar.
The four were accused of forcibly entering Senthilkumar’s residence, issuing serious threats demanding a ransom of Rs 50 lakh and physically assaulting him at his home on November 23.
In his complaint, Senthilkumar said that Janani was employed as a salesperson at his garment shop in Uyyakondan Thirumalai in 2022. His mother Vijayalakshmi, 64, was terminated after her acquaintances, predominantly men, began frequenting the store despite earlier warnings.
Angered by her dismissal, Janani threatened them, flaunting her NTK affiliation and promising punishment. Police investigation revealed that the three men acted on her directives.
On the other hand, Janani filed a complaint against Senthilkumar at the Women’s Police Station (AWPS), Jeeyapuram, alleging fraudulent marriage on the false pretext of her divorcee status. She further accused him of threatening to spread their intimate photos on social media.
The AWPS, Jeeyapuram police have registered a case against Senthilkumar and are investigating.
