OPP dogs put their best foot forward for the Canine Calendar

The OPP 2025 Canine Calendar is more than just canine photos, it’s a collection representing some of Ontario’s best-trained canines, known for their strength, agility and determination.

For more than 50 years, the handlers and canines of the OPP Dog Unit have supported frontline and specialist policing functions to keep citizens safe.

Between assisting with search and rescue, tracking wanted persons, detecting narcotics and searching for firearms, explosives and physical evidence, the OPP-trained canines took time to put their best paws on charity.

It is also a beacon of hope and support for under-resourced youth in Ontario and to help preserve the OPP’s legacy as all proceeds from calendar sales go to OPP Foundation for Youth and the Friends of the OPP Museum. Last year’s calendar sales raised over $30,000.

Each calendar costs $20 and can be purchased from the OPP Off Duty Shop by visiting oppshop.on.ca.

The OPP Youth Foundation provides funding to disadvantaged youth across the province of Ontario. The Friends of the OPP Museum is a volunteer-based charity that supports, promotes and helps preserve the history of the OPP.
