SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – Following the death of a beloved member of the heavy music community, an event is being held to benefit the nonprofit, Project Celebration.

Following an outcry and mourning in Shreveport’s heavy music community, on Nov. 30 at 5 p.m., several bands came together to host a memorial show, Kali Forever, at Seventh Tap, 2640 Linwood Avenue, in Kali’s honor Lynch Roberts, a woman who was killed during a domestic violence incident. Lynch-Roberts was an avid supporter of heavy music.

“Kali has been known throughout our scene for being the biggest supporter of heavy music. She was the first to dance and scream the lyrics. Her presence will be sorely missed,” says The Facebook event page.

Project Celebration, a nonprofit organization that provides support and resources to survivors of domestic abuse, will benefit the show.
