Young man stabbed to death in revenge killing

Hyderabad: A 24-year-old man was stabbed to death in a revenge killing over a love affair, police said Thursday. The victim was stabbed in the heart with a knife. This resulted from a personal dispute regarding an affair. A case has been registered with the Keesara police.

According to the police, the incident took place on Tuesday evening after the victim Mahipal and the accused Prudhvi Raj along with their friends were drinking together. Sometime later, when only the two of them were around, Mahipal told Prudhvi that he was having an affair with a woman with whom Prudhvi had a relationship.

This enraged Prudhvi, who took Mahipal to a secluded place and allegedly attacked him. The next morning, Mahipal’s body was found near Hardaspally village.

It was only after police teams, who rushed to the spot on receiving information, posted the pictures on local WhatsApp groups that friends who were at the party pointed the finger at Prudhvi.

After establishing Prudhvi’s involvement, the police arrested him. The police could not trace the murder weapon. Prudhvi was remanded in custody.
