Cheyenne man charged with theft

A 52-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after allegedly breaking into a storage facility in southwest Cheyenne.

According to a booking sheet, Wayne Randall Clark was arrested at Open storage at 1500 Southwest Dr. at 15:57 Monday, December 9.

Clark was arrested after he confessed to the burglary

The arrest Laramie County Sheriff’s the deputy says Clark admitted to entering the premises and breaking into one of the units after an interview.

Clark was handcuffed and taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he was booked without incident.

Clark charged with theft

Clark was later charged with robbery, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, a fine of up to $10,000, or both.

Bond set at $5,000 cash

Clark made his initial appearance in Laramie County Court on Wednesday, Dec. 11, at which time his bond was set at $5,000 cash, and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 18, at 2:30 p.m.

Please note that all suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
