Urgent recall of the Anko soft activity ball sold at Kmart and Target

A children’s toy sold at large discount stores Kmart and Aim it was urgent memory in the run-up to Christmas.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has issued the notice recalling the Anko soft activity ballwhich has rattles on two sides, this week.

There are fears that the plastic domes filled with small balls to create the rattle will separate from the soft toy, causing small parts to fall out.

Small children are at serious risk of injury or choking if they put the balls in their mouths and parents are urged to return the product.

“Stop using the product immediately and keep it out of the reach of children,” the recall notice warns.

The soft activity ball was sold in stores nationwide and online from August 3 to October 18.

Customers can return the item to the place of purchase for a refund or call Kmart Australia on 1800 124 125.
