Instagram influencer Simran Singh found dead in Gurugram, police suspect suicide

Simran Singh, an Instagram influencer who hails from Jammu, was found dead in her apartment in Gurugram, police said.

An Instagram influencer and independent radio jockey from Jammu and Kashmir was found dead in a rented accommodation in Haryana’s Gurugram, police said on Thursday.

The police suspect that it is a case of suicide. Her body was found hanging in her room on Wednesday night. Police said no suicide note was found at the scene.

The influencer was identified as 25-year-old Simran Singh, who has around seven million followers on Instagram and is known to fans as RJ Simran.

She last posted a reel on social media on December 13, with the caption: “Just a girl with endless giggles and her dress, taking over the beach.”

How did the incident occur?

She was found dead in her flat in Sector 47, Gurugram, police said, adding that her friend who stayed with her informed the police about the incident.

Her body has been handed over to the family, police said.

Simran, who hails from the Jammu region, was known as ‘Jammu Ki Dhadkan’ by her fans.
