Apple TV+ has something planned for January 4th and 5th

Apple TV+ has hinted that it’s planning something for early January, enticing viewers to “see for yourself.”

On Wednesday, the Apple TV X account posted a cryptic message telling people to “Save the date” and “see for yourself.” The accompanying image, which featured Will Ferrell, also included a date of January 4-5.

On Thursday, the account posted another teaser, telling users to “stay tuned.” Once again, the accompanying image featured the date of January 4-5.

Although it’s hard to know what Apple TV+ is planning, the fact that the dates fall on a weekend suggests that the company is preparing to open access to Apple TV+ to everyone for a limited time. This would be a new move by the Cupertino tech giant, as Apple has never held an Apple TV+ open weekend before.

Apple usually offers free viewing for certain properties instead, such as Peanuts holiday classics, or first episodes of certain shows they expect to do well. The company also offers a seven-day free trial for new subscribers, as well as longer trials with purchases of eligible hardware.

The teasers could also suggest that Apple is preparing to announce its lineup for new shows and movies set to hit the service in 2025. Last year, Apple announced the lineup for 2024. at the beginning of Februaryso the time is right.
