Beer bottle leads to burglary charges

A former Roslyn resident faces burglary and theft charges after police say they found a beer bottle at the scene of a Cle Elum burglary that had the man’s DNA on it.

Travis Dean Brammer was scheduled to be arraigned last week in Kittitas County Superior Court on felony burglary and theft charges. After the Police linked him to the theft of a truck when a DNA test of a beer bottle found at the scene was matched to the defendant.

The owner of the truck told police that not only was the truck stolen from her property, but a store and an old, pre-fab home were also broken into.

Outside the store, police found a nearly full bottle of Bud Light and could see lip marks on the beer bottle. When officers asked the property owner if she had been drinking bud, she said she had not and that she didn’t know anyone who did.

Brammer’s court hearing was adjourned until December 30.
