Man arrested after multiple burglaries in 4 months

GRAND FORKS, ND (Valley News Live) – A Grand Forks man is facing multiple charges after allegedly breaking into multiple vehicles and businesses over the course of four months.

Ian Kramchuck, 21, faces 11 counts of theft, 3 counts of burglary, 2 counts of attempted burglary, 6 counts of unlawful entry into a vehicle and 5 counts of criminal mischief.

Court documents say the first burglary occurred on May 11, when Kramchuck entered a car and stole a wallet, Adderall, a debit card and a credit card. Later that same day, he broke into two other vehicles and stole $80 in cash and two handguns.

Documents say that on July 30, Kramchuck broke into two other vehicles and stole $100 in cash and $200 in gift cards before burglarizing two businesses.

On August 1st, Kramchuck broke into 3 businesses in Downtown Fargo. Between all three business documents, Kramchuck stole more than $1,000 in cash, several credit cards, a card reader and damaged two cash registers.

On August 4, Kramchuck stole a vehicle from a home. Documents say the vehicle was found on Aug. 5 with a suitcase inside containing all the items that had previously been stolen.

Officers say Kramchuck was arrested on Dec. 26 after a warrant was issued for his arrest. His next court appearance is scheduled for February 3.
