Man suspected in Medford home invasion found by police Thursday

A search for an armed home invasion suspect ended with his arrest by Medford police Thursday, the police department said.

On Thursday afternoon, Medford police said they were looking for 31-year-old Anderson Otoni-Nascimento, who was suspected of a home invasion, NBC 10 Boston reported. He was considered armed and dangerous.

Although details of the incident were not immediately available, police located and arrested Otoni-Nascimento, the news station reported.

“We extend our thanks to everyone who shared this post, especially the Brazilian community, whose support was instrumental in securing Otoni-Nascimento’s capture,” Medford police said in a brief statement on Facebook.
