The children, aged eight and ten at the time, had been adopted through a Christian special needs agency, according to New York Post.

Police recovered seven terabytes of surveillance video from inside the home, uncovering “multiple incidents” of the men abusing the children in different parts of the home. The cellphones contained several videos, along with images and “graphic text and social media” posts about the crimes.

Court records obtained by town hall indicated that the attacks began in late 2019 and intensified in January 2021 and beyond.

Cell phone information led police to Luis Vizcarro-Sanchez, 25, to whom Zachary had sent messages about the abuse. He later pleaded guilty to indulging a person under 18 and several unrelated computer theft charges and was sentenced to 60 years, with only 15 years in prison and the rest on probation if he testified against the family Zulock.

According to court documents, Lawless, 27, told investigators that Zachary, whom she met through an acquaintance on the gay dating app Grindr, sent her “numerous” messages about the attacks.

Lawless denied being in physical contact with either boy, but said Zachary invited him to join activities on several occasions.

In court, he pleaded guilty to child sexual exploitation and was sentenced to 20 years in prison, with only the first 12 being served in prison on the promise of testifying against the Zulocks.

“Such action will never be taken lightly”

McGinley said the sentence for married men “almost guarantees that victims won’t have to worry as they get older that their abusers are on the loose.”

“The sentence imposed not only appropriately punishes these defendants for their repeated selfish actions, but also sends a message to the public that such actions will never be taken lightly,” he wrote.

The Zulocks initially pleaded not guilty to the charges against them. But both have changed their demands in recent months.

Zachary was convicted of two counts of aggravated sodomy, three counts of aggravated child molestation, two counts of incest, two counts of sodomy, three counts of child sexual exploitation and two counts of pleasuring a person under 18 .

William, who was the first to change his plea, was found guilty of six counts of aggravated sodomy, three counts of aggravated child molestation, two counts of incest and two counts of child sexual exploitation.

In his statement, McGinley said he was inspired by the boys’ power to get things done over the past two years.

“However, the depth of the defendants’ depravity, as deep as it gets, is no greater than the determination of those who fought for justice and the power of the victims in this case.”
