Elon Musk’s ex Grimes insists she wasn’t ‘abandoned’ by billionaire: ‘I jumped’

Elon Musk’s ex Grimes has insisted she has not been dumped by the billionaire businessman – and confirmed she has reunited with at least one of their three children.

Last month, the 36-year-old singer, whose real name is Claire Elise Boucher, opened up about Musk, 53, and claimed he wouldn’t let her see their children.

The former couple share two sons, X Æ A-Xii and Techno Mechanicus, as well as a daughter Exa Dark Sideræl together.

Grimes and Musk were together for four years before splitting in 2022, and she has now claimed that she was the one who decided to call it quits on their relationship.

The Canadian singer made the comments on X, formerly Twitter, in response to a post by Azealia Banks, who accused her of being “cheated” and “abandoned” by Musk.

Their war of words began when Grimes responded to a photoshopped image of her and Banks as Glinda and Elphaba from Wicked and wrote, “I hate to say it, but it would have been kind of lit.”

However, Banks was unimpressed by the post and responded: “Girl @Grimezsz how you still trying to resist some weird innocent bulls**t years later after being dumped, cheated on, your kids. kidnapped and still trying to paint me as the villain and act like you’re above me.

“You can really stop mentioning me.” I know you’d like to be my best friend, but damn… it’s boring as hell. Leave it, she added.

Grimes responded to her post and said, “It’s just a funny joke bro. I’m not trying to paint you as a villain. I was not “abandoned”. i jumped

“My amazing baby is sleeping in my bed next to me, I’m in love. No regrets. Life is as beautiful as you want it to be.

“You’re crazy talented.” even after all this i want you to win. God bless her (my lady),’ she added.

When an X user responded to Grimes’ post and labeled Banks “problematic,” she replied, “He’s the best hater on the planet.

The two women have been feuding since 2018, when they were first involved in a very public feud.

Banks made headlines in August of that year after she claimed Grimes invited her to Musk’s LA estate so Banks could collaborate on music.

But Banks compared her stay at his house to the horror film Get Out in a scathing Instagram post.

The rapper claimed via her Stories that Grimes spent the weekend comforting Musk, who tweeted at the time about wanting to take his company Tesla private for $420 a share.

Banks claimed that Musk regretted the tweet because he had not yet secured financing to take the company private.

She also made allegations linking the mogul to drug use, including marijuana. Musk has denied ever meeting Banks The Guardian.

A few years later, in 2021, Grimes reignited the feud when she announced that her new song at the time, 100% Tragedy was “about having to beat Azealia Banks when she tried to ruin my life.

Banks responded by saying, “Grimes definitely has a psychosexual obsession with me. I think it’s bitterness because she doesn’t have the musical ability that I have.

“Everything she does is pretentious and comes off that way…whereas everything I do is natural flair and genius.”

After breaking up with Gimes, Musk sued for custody of their children in Texas, where his businesses are based.

Grimes then challenged the filing of a “petition to establish parental relationship” in a California court, usually seen as the first step in filing for custody of unmarried parents.

She claimed that Musk denied them access to her children and even prevented them from seeing their terminally ill maternal grandmother.

A Travis County clerk confirmed the Texas dispute had been settled, but declined to provide further details.
