Man accused of abandoning teenage girl in Louisiana woods after having sex with her

A 28-year-old Louisiana man is facing charges after police say he had sex with a 14-year-old girl but abandoned her in a wooded area after learning her age. The girl, from Tennessee, met initially Alexander Materne online through a video game.
INCIDENT
On December 23, Materne drove to Tennessee and brought the girl back to his residence in St Rose, Louisiana, US, according to the St Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office. Police say they engaged in sexual acts at his home, at which point the girl revealed her age, according to a New York Post report.
Materne then gave the girl a tent, food and water and left her in a wooded area in Tangipahoa Parish, according to authorities. He then reportedly went to celebrate Christmas with his family.
The girl’s family, worried about her prolonged absence, learned of her relationship with Materne and contacted his family members. They were able to connect with people at Materne’s Christmas meeting.

The police rescue her
Sheriff’s deputies interrupted the family’s Christmas gathering and forced Materne to reveal the location where she left the young woman. They later located the girl with Materne’s help. She was found in good health and transported to the hospital for evaluation.
Accusations on Materne
Materne was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and aggravated kidnapping of a child.
