It was not suicide, the father had killed the youths of Mauganj in April

Bhopal: An 8-month-old death case of a youth in Mauganj town has turned out to be the killing of the deceased by his own father in a petty dispute. The accused strangled his son in a fit of rage and then hanged him to make it look like a case of suicide.
Now eight months later, the Mauganj police have arrested the man for killing his son.
On April 7 this year, the body of 20-year-old Rohit Gupta was found hanging at his house in ward number 7 of Mauganj town. His father Babulal Gupta, 45, and other family members informed the police.
A case of unnatural death was registered by the police, who started investigations. The body was sent for autopsy. The post-mortem report was received in May, sources said. In the post-mortem report, it was stated that restraint was the cause of death, but somehow the investigating officers missed it and the case remained classified as suicide. The relatives also did not raise any suspicion of foul play.
In December, Mauganj Sub-Divisional Officer of Police (SDOP) Ankita Sulya, who was examining the case files, found that the cause of death was misdiagnosed.
“A case of murder has been registered and new investigations have been initiated. When questioned, his father broke down. The deceased did not work, and there were frequent disputes between father and son. On the day of the incident, the deceased also took some money from the shop. It led to a dispute, and in return, the deceased beat his father in a fit of rage, the accused strangled him to death Although the accused had no intention of killing the deceased, in a fit of rage, he subsequently killed him, and- hanged the body and informed that he committed suicide.
