NYPD: 3 teens stabbed on Staten Island residential street, police seek suspect

STATEN ISLAND, NY — A 19-year-old man was cut on the leg, a 16-year-old girl was cut on the arm and a 14-year-old boy was cut on the leg early Sunday morning in a South Shore Block , according to an NYPD spokesman.

Police said initial reports indicate the incident happened outside a residence on Chesebrough Street in Eltingville at approximately 2 a.m.

All three victims were taken to Staten Island University Hospital North in stable condition.

Police described the suspect as a man wearing a gray tracksuit. According to emergency dispatches, police called for an aerial search overnight, but it was not possible due to overnight fog.

No arrests have been made and an NYPD spokesman said the investigation is ongoing.

On Sunday, detectives were at the scene knocking on doors, interviewing potential witnesses and looking for video of the incident.

Neighbors said the block, which is a short walk from Eltingville train station, has seen an increase in police responses in recent years.
