Mahakumbh 2025: President Droupadi Murmu, VP Dhankar among top leaders invited by Yogi Adityanath

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday invited President Droupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar to attend the upcoming Mahakumbh in Prayagraj.

The Chief Minister also extended his invitation to Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena to the grand event, scheduled to start from January 13 and end on February 26, 2025.

As part of his invitation, Yogi Adityanath also presented special gifts, including a symbol with the Mahakumbh 2025 logo, a kalash (sacred urn), literature related to the event, a New Year table calendar and a diary.

Saturday, the The Chief Minister reached New Delhi where he met former President Ram Nath Kovind, Union Home Minister Amit ShahDefense Minister Rajnath Singh, among others. Each of the dignitaries was presented with personalized invitation mementos related to the Mahakumbh.

On Sunday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his gratitude to the dignitaries for their time through a post on his official social media account ‘X’ along with photos of the meetings.

With the event just weeks away, the Uttar Pradesh government has stepped up its efforts to invite dignitaries and members of the public from across the country, with the chief minister and his cabinet ministers personally leading awareness campaigns in various states.
