Police are investigating attempted burglaries at Geneva businesses

Police are investigating an attempted burglary after discovering a broken back front door at a Castle Street business late Friday night.

Officers with the City of Geneva Police Department responded to 142 Castle Street around 11:15 pm on December 27th, where they found a rear window broken, apparently by a brick. After entering the premises, officers confirmed that no suspects were present and nothing was stolen.

A New York State Trooper K9 unit was called to the scene, but attempts to track down a suspect were unsuccessful. Police also attempted to contact the business owner, but were unavailable.

Authorities urge anyone with information about the incident to contact Lt. John Van Savage at 315-828-6779 or the Geneva police tip line at 315-781-0096. Information may be provided anonymously.
