The decision on the Jersey ferry “on the way” will be made next week

The minister overseeing the tender process for the Jersey ferry has said he is “about to” name his preferred bidder.

Deputy Sustainable Economic Development Minister Kirsten Moral said the bids from Brittany Ferries and DFDS were being “independently assessed”.

He said people could start planning travel arrangements after March 2025, completing the expressions of interest available from both companies.

“As previously mentioned, we are on track to sign contracts with a new ferry operator before Christmas and name a preferred bidder in the coming week,” he said.
