14-time Grammy winner Taylor Swift got a gentle nudge from her parents 27 years ago this Christmas to begin her musical journey.

Swifties, relived the momentous moment when the video was posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Filmed in 1997, the clip featured an 8-year-old Swift excitedly unwrapping a guitar.

“Guitar!” she exclaimed before adding, “I’m happy!”

The post quickly went viral, with fans flooding the comments section.

“A star was found 27 years ago,” one commenter wrote.

“The beginning of an era,” added another. “And the rest is history,” echoed another.

One fan, pretending to be a seer at the time, joked: “Guitar, cat, family and a girl with power, talent and heart, look how this thing goes.”

In an interview with Rolling Stone in 2017, Swift revealed that the late American singer, songwriter and guitarist Tom Petty inspired her to play guitar.
