Bijnor: Bijnor police have arrested two cousins ​​for killing their uncle, Pawan Yadava 45-year-old teacher from Dhaulagarh village under Noorpur police station area during a robbery at his residence on the night of November 27-28.
The incident took place while the victim’s wife and son were away in Moradabad attending a wedding. The crime came to light when Pawan’s body was found in the bathroom by his family members. His son Asheesh Yadav alerted the police.
Initially believed to be an accident, the case took a turn when police noticed injury marks on Pawan’s head, leading to suspicions of foul play.
Additional superintendent of police (rural) Ram Arj said, “Kuldeep Yadav of Rauniya village and his cousin Sharad Yadav of Ahirpur village have been arrested for killing their uncle. Kuldeep, the victim’s sister’s son, visited Pawan on the evening of November 27, Bringing Sharad, the three consumed alcohol together the suspects stole gold jewellery, a silver coin and money from the house”.
When Pawan returned and caught them, an argument broke out. “The suspects attacked Pawan with a sharp weapon, killing him. To cover up their crime, they staged the scene to make the death appear accidental by putting his body in the bathroom before fleeing,” the ASP added.
Based on a complaint filed by Asheesh Yadav, the police registered a case under Section 103(1) of the NBS for the murder. A further investigation is underway.
