Police are cracking down on theft crimes in the Dudley borough

Prolific shoplifter Chelsea Davies has been jailed for 11 months after being charged with four counts of shoplifting.

Davies, of no fixed address, targeted two shops in Brierley Hill and Dudley and stole household items totaling hundreds of pounds.

The incidents took place in October and November.

Officers arrested Davies on November 26 after she was caught shoplifting from a shop in Brierley Hill.

Daniel Potter, 34, was charged with two counts of theft from a shop in Platts Road, Amblecote. He was arrested on December 7.

Potter, of Norton, appeared at Walsall Magistrates Court yesterday and was remanded in custody to appear at Dudley Magistrates Court on December 23.

Timothy Little, 33, was also charged with two counts of shoplifting after items were stolen from a shop in Stourbridge Road, Halesowen on October 26 and a shop in Brierley Hill on December 10.

Little, from Lye, was remanded in custody and is due to appear at Walsall Crown Court on Thursday.

District Inspector for Dudley West Steven Crowe said: “We continue to track down the offenders and bring them to justice.

“Spoofing has a significant impact on business owners and the public and it is essential that every incident is reported to us.”
