Johnson City man arrested on aggravated assault, child abuse charges – www.elizabethton.com

JOHNSON CITY – Officers with the Johnson City Police Department arrested Justin Oaks, 29, Johnson City, on Dec. 11, charging him with aggravated assault and aggravated child abuse involving a child under the age of 8 years.

The investigation began Wednesday night when an area hospital reported the child’s injuries to police.

Following an interview with investigators, Oaks was arrested at approximately 9:30 p.m. He was transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held without bond. A bond hearing was scheduled for later today.

The investigation is ongoing.
