“Baby Driver” actor Hudson Meek has died after falling from a moving car

Actor Hudson Meek has died at the age of 16 after falling from a moving vehicle in Alabama, officials said.

Meek, who has appeared in movies such as “Baby Driver,” suffered violent injuries after falling from a moving vehicle onto the roadway in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, on Dec. 19, according to the Jefferson County Medical Examiner/Coroner’s Office.

He was taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, where he later died of his injuries on Dec. 21, the medical examiner’s office said.

The Vestavia Hills Police Department is investigating the circumstances of Meek’s death, according to the coroner’s office.

Meek played a younger version of Ansel Elgort’s character in “Baby Driver” and also appeared in TV shows like “Found” and “Genius.” according to IMDb.

Acting Out, an arts academy in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, issued a statement regarding Meek’s death to WVTM, NBC affiliate from Birmingham, Alabama.

“We are all devastated by the loss of one of AOA’s first and brightest stars,” the academy said. “May you shine forever Hud. You will be deeply missed. Please join us in praying for his amazing family during this difficult time.”
