Teen charged with burglary in Holmes County

HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) – A 13-year-old boy has been arrested for breaking into an Express Lane in Holmes County.

According to the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an alarm on Express Lane in Esto.

When deputies arrived, they found the front door of the store had been broken into.

Investigators said surveillance video shows a white male using a hammer to break down the door and enter the store.

The suspect allegedly stole several vaping products before fleeing.

Deputies followed a trail of evidence across the road where some of the stolen vaporizers were on the ground.

Investigators said they were able to find a 13-year-old boy wearing the same clothing asas seen abovesurveillance footage.

The teenager allegedly admitted to breaking into the store.

He was arrested and charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief.
