Cañon City Police Department seeks information on VFW break-in – Canon City Daily Record

The Cañon City Police Department is seeking information about a burglary that occurred between midnight Thursday and Friday morning at the Veterans of Foreign Wars building located at 215 N. Cottonwood Ave.

The suspect allegedly stole more than $3,000 in cash and caused an estimated $1,000 in damage. Information leading to the arrest of the suspect in this case could result in a cash reward.

On Friday at 1:34 p.m., VFW employees called officers after discovering a burglary that had occurred the previous evening. When officers arrived, officers processed the scene and conducted a neighborhood canvas of the area to try to locate any witnesses or surveillance footage.

Authorities were able to isolate still photos from video surveillance of the suspect in the case, but were unable to make a clear identification of the suspect.
