Huntsville woman dies in Madison County car crash

A Madison County woman died in a car accident Friday morning.

Tara KC, 52, of Huntsville died when her car was struck by a vehicle about a mile outside of Huntsville.

KC was driving a 2015 Honda Civic and was struck by a 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander driven by Shicoya L. Stevens, 32, the Alabama law enforcement agency said in a statement Friday.

“KC was pronounced dead at the scene. Stevens was also injured and transported to Huntsville Hospital for medical treatment,” the agency said.

The crash happened at the intersection of Alabama 53 and Kelly Spring Road around 8:25 a.m. Friday, according to the agency.

An investigation is underway.
