The moment comes full circle for a CSU Ram in the upcoming Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl

TUCSON, Ariz. — Colorado State wide receiver Jordan Ross began his football career growing up in Los Angeles in the SYFL, or Snoop Youth Football League.

“I didn’t know it was Snoop League until I saw it,” Ross said.

Founded by Snoop Dogg, SYFL is a non-profit organization that provides inner city LA kids with the opportunity to play football and have fun.

“The Snoop League takes kids away from all the crap in LA or anywhere on the streets,” Ross added.

“We are thankful for the Snoop League,” Colorado State head coach Jay Norvell said. “Saved a lot of kids from street violence in the city of LA “We’ve been the beneficiaries of taking in a lot of these kids. They were great players for us.”

Ross, who has eleven catches this season as a freshman, is one of four Rams to play in the SYFL. His playing time should increase now that two receivers have left for the transfer window.

“It’s an opportunity for me to get on stage,” Ross said.

“He’s done a really good job every time he’s played,” Norvell said. “His role will be much bigger on Saturday.”

The opportunity comes in what will be a full-circle moment, once again playing opposite Snoop Dogg in the bowl game that Gin and Juice now sponsors.

“Just to see a superstar like him, a legend, it’s amazing,” Ross said. “To see someone do great for the young people I was a part of. Just seeing that is amazing.”
