Trump lawyer says he’ll put New York AG’s ‘Fat A–‘ in jail

Trump’s Lawyer Targets New York Attorney General With Incendiary Remarks, Jail Threats

NEW YORK — Mike Davis, a lawyer and vocal supporter of former President Donald J. Trump, has made inflammatory statements against New York Attorney General Letitia James, threatening to “put (her) in jail” in response to the civil suit in course against Trump and his business. Davis’ remarks, which included a personal insult, drew criticism and raised concerns about escalating rhetoric surrounding Trump’s legal battles.

“I challenge you to try to continue your action against President Trump,” Davis said in a public statement, addressing James directly. “Honey, we’re not messing around this time.” Davis did not specify any legal grounds on which he believes criminal charges could be brought against James, who is pursuing a $250 million civil case accusing Trump and the Trump Organization of inflating asset values to secure favorable loans and insurance rates.

James, a Democrat who has served as New York’s attorney general since 2019, initiated the lawsuit as part of his office’s investigation into Trump’s business practices. Her case seeks to bar Trump and his children from holding executive positions in New York and impose significant financial penalties on the former president’s business empire.

Davis, known for his combative approach and outspoken support for Trump, used loaded language to criticize the case as politically motivated. His recent comments come amid heightened tensions as Trump faces multiple civil and criminal cases in jurisdictions across the country. The former president has repeatedly claimed the lawsuits are part of a coordinated effort by his political opponents to derail his presidential campaign.

James has not publicly responded to Davis’ comments. Her office argued that its investigation and subsequent lawsuit was based on evidence collected over years of investigations into the financial practices of the Trump Organization.
