Two arrested after police find stolen U-Haul in Lebanon

LEBANON, Tenn. (WSMV) – Two people were arrested after police recovered a stolen U-Haul, according to the Lebanon Police Department (LPD).

LPD said SafeNet alerted them to a stolen U-Haul in Nashville that officers were able to track to the Speedway gas station on North Cumberland Street.

Police said they found a female passenger in the vehicle. The driver was inside the store and fled when police arrived, LPD said.

Police located the suspect a short time later and charged him with theft of property and driving with a suspended license. LPD said the passenger also had an outstanding warrant out of Sumner County.

Both individuals were arrested without further incident.

“We appreciate the quick effort of our officers to locate this vehicle and the subjects,” LPD said.
