Local pub helping to supply pets – harputburgerwiesbaden

TULSA, Okla. — Caz’s Pub in downtown Tulsa makes an effort to provide the community.

Pub owner Jeff Castleberry said he had found an organization that would help carry out that mission.

“It’s the time of year when we think about giving back and it was the perfect opportunity for us to show our love for animals,” he said. “Our staff loves animals and we wanted to give back to the community.”

He and his team decided to start a pet supply, collecting things like leashes, harnesses, dog and cat food, food bowls and toys.

Castleberry said Tito also stepped in, donating items to start the fundraiser.

When brainstorming which local organization to partner with, Castleberry landed Break4Paws.

The non-profit organization works to help pet owners seek and find treatment for mental health, substance abuse and homelessness.

Ashleigh Rosson was one of those homeowners who experienced a mental health crisis just before the holidays.

He found help through Pause4Paws.

“People don’t think about dogs, they’re our pets, they’re our family members,” she said. “The fact that they were able to intervene, in an immediate need for a crisis, so that she could be released. and going to get help for my own situation has been a blessing beyond measure.”

She said she was able to get the help she needed because she knew her cubs, Scarlett and Jackson, were being cared for by a foster family.

Evan Taylor is the organization’s executive director and said it all helps.

“We always need more supplies, dog food, cat food,” Taylor said.

He said a lot of work goes into making sure every pet is matched with a foster family.

“So once we get them to the vet and any medical needs they might have are taken care of, they go to one of our pre-approved foster carers that we’ve vetted,” he said. “We’ll give them anything from food, cat litter, kennels, dog beds, leashes.”

He said donations like the ones Caz’s collects go a long way toward making sure everything runs smoothly so the organization can spend more time and money on other needs.

Caz’s Pub will be collecting supplies until January 1st.
